Yes, that oil would be ingested into the intake without the catch can. You must be driving your car hard enough to need a can. For those who don't experience the smoking thing while on track, they will, whenever they learn to step it up a few notches. It has been suggested that the pcvs could be mounted higher and I would like to hear from a road course junkie who has tried this. I am considering installing a larger catch can with a drain back into the engine. This should help. I'm also concerned that if I do this, there may not be enough oil left in the system to do the job.
